What is the laundry break?

It started as a simple idea: laundry is something everyone has to do. So what if doing it together with your favourite people, in a comfortable space, with good drinks in hand actually made it something to look forward to?

The Laundry Break is a private, exclusive hire of Hangout Laundry for your group. No other customers, no strangers, no interruptions. Just your people, your laundry pile, and 2.5 hours of the kind of catch-up that actually covers everything because there's nowhere else to be.

Clothes get clean. Conversations get interesting. Nobody goes home with a pile of unfolded washing.

What's included?

$390 (Mon - Fri) | $450 (Sat, Sun & Public Holidays)

• 2.5 hours of exclusive use of Hangout Laundry — the whole space, just for your group

• Free-flow drinks from the specialty coffee machine — coffee, matcha latte and Melbourne drinking chocolate, with hot and iced options

• $150 in laundry credits — so the laundry actually gets done while you hang out

• A Hangout Laundry tee for the celebrant — because every occasion deserves something to take home

• Returning $5 vouchers for every guest — so the whole group has a reason to come back

Up to 30 guests (free seating and standing). Fully air-conditioned. Sound system included. Ample parking right in front. Food and cake from elsewhere are welcome (just let us know in advance).

What do you get the mum who says she doesn't need anything? Time. A proper break. Her favourite people in a room with good coffee and nowhere to be. No crowded brunch queue, no overpriced set menu. Just 2.5 hours of quality time that actually feels like a rest.

We'll hold your date with a deposit and confirm all the details, including any add-ons or customisation you'd like.

3. Show up and enjoy
Arrive at Hangout Laundry at your reserved time. The space is ready, the drinks are on, and the laundry machines are waiting. The rest is up to you.
