There's a particular kind of frustration that used to come with laundromat trips in Singapore.

You'd arrive with your laundry, walk up to the machine, and realise you didn't have enough coins. So you'd hunt for a change machine. The change machine would be out of order, or out of coins. You'd end up walking to the nearest convenience store to buy something you didn't need just to get change. By the time you got back, someone had taken your machine.

We built Hangout Laundry so that none of that happens.

Two ways to pay for your laundry

Option 1: Tokens
Tokens are Hangout Laundry's default payment method for the machines. Each token has a $1 value and is used to start your wash or dry cycle.

Purchasing tokens is straightforward. Just head to one of our token changers. You can pay with PayNow (QR Pay) or cash ($2, $5 and $10 notes accepted). That's it.

If you prefer to plan ahead, tokens don't expire, so you can stock up on a visit and have them ready for next time.

Option 2: The Huebsch app
The Huebsch app is the smarter way to use Hangout Laundry and it goes beyond just paying for machines. More on what it can do in a moment.

To pay via the app, simply top up your in-app credits using a credit or debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, then use those credits to start and manage your machines directly from your phone.

What the Huebsch app actually does

Most people download the app for the payment convenience. Then they realise it does a lot more than that.

Checks machine availability before you leave home: No more turning up to find every machine taken. The app shows you real-time availability at Hangout Laundry — which machines are free, which are running, and how long is left on each cycle. You can time your trip so you walk in and load straight away.

Start and pay for your machine from your phone: Once you're at the laundromat, select your machine on the app, choose your cycle on the machine, and pay with your in-app credits. No tokens required.

Monitor your cycle remotely: Once your laundry is running, you don't have to sit and stare at it. The app tracks your cycle in real time . You can step outside to run your errands, grab lunch or focus on your work without losing track of where you are in the cycle.

Get notified when your laundry is done: The app sends you a notification when your wash or dry cycle finishes (tip: turn on app notifications for this function). You'll know the moment it's time to unload so your laundry isn't sitting in the drum.

Top up credits anytime and get more back when you top up $50 or above: Add credits to your app balance whenever you need to via credit or debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay. And if you top up $50 or more in a single transaction, you'll receive an additional 10% in bonus credits automatically. Top up $50, get $55 in value. It's a small reward for doing what you'd be doing anyway and it adds up over time if laundry is a regular part of your week.

The coffee machine: fully self-service, fully cashless

The coffee at Hangout Laundry is specialty Arabica and it's completely self-service. Walk up, make your selection, pay, and your cup is ready in under a minute. No barista needed, no waiting in line.

Payment at the coffee machine is handled by a separate cashless terminal that accepts just about everything:
